A. "Social movements in Chile and education" During the last few years in Chile, social movements have become an everyday thing within the framework of becoming democratic. In my opinion, they have come to strengthen the democratic system and learning processes. Some examples of these movements have been the "penguin movement" in 2006, which shook secondary education in Chile. In 2011 this movement had its greatest expression with a movement of university students that motivated major reforms to the Chilean educational system, the feminist movement of 2018 led mainly by university women generated great changes in relations within universities throughout the country. These social processes awaken great sources of sociological interest for future research and reviewing the impact of movements in classrooms and their learning processes. B.
